I could either watch it happen or be a part of it. – Elon Musk
It all began in October 2019. Overall, the transfer of ownership went fairly smooth, with only a few minor bumps in the road. The sale of the business was pretty much kept quiet until it was final, which actually stirred up quite a bit of conversation among many. In retrospect, it probably had more of a negative impact than anything, leaving some customers and staff members feeing almost a sense of betrayal from not knowing. But we worked through it and all of the staff stayed on throughout the transition.
The next assignment to tackle was figuring out how to help our current customers with the adjustment. That turned out to be pretty simple. While continuously being introduced to customers, the feedback from them was unanimous…”Don’t change a thing”. So, that’s exactly what we did! So many times new owners come in and want to run their business their way, which is completely understandable. But, not a great business move. When you are new, it takes time to develop trust and loyalty. Those characteristics are earned. Once you reach that point, customers are supportive of the changes. And in the end, because we listened to our customers, the transition was successful. The beginning of a new journey was about to take place.
Thank you to all of our customers, staff, family, friends, and social media followers that continue to make all of this possible. These are The LJ Chronicles.
All the best,
Your LJ Family
